Analysis of five major causes of several common abnormalities of imported bearings:
1、 Loud metal noise
Cause 1: abnormal load, countermeasures: correct the fit, study the bearing clearance, adjust the and load, and correct the position of the housing shoulder.
Cause 2: poor installation. Countermeasures: improve the machining accuracy of shaft and shell, and improve the installation accuracy and installation method.
Cause 3: insufficient or unsuitable lubricant. Countermeasures: Supplement lubricant and select appropriate lubricant.
Cause 4: the rotating parts are in contact. Countermeasure: modify the contact part of the curved path seal.
2、 Regular noise
Cause 1: indentation, corrosion or scar on the rolling surface caused by foreign matters. Countermeasures: replace the bearing, clean relevant parts, improve the sealing device and use clean lubricant.
Cause 2: (after steel carburizing) surface deformation, countermeasure: replace the bearing and pay attention to its use.
Cause 3: the raceway surface is stripped, countermeasure: replace the bearing.
3、 Irregular noise
Cause 1: the clearance is too large. Countermeasures: study the fit and bearing clearance, and modify the preload.
Cause 2: invasion of foreign matters, countermeasures: study and replace bearings, clean relevant parts, improve sealing devices and use clean lubricants.
Cause 3: spherical surface damage and peeling, countermeasure: replace the bearing.
4、 Abnormal temperature rise
Reason 1: there are too many lubricants. Countermeasures: reduce lubricants, use them appropriately, and choose harder grease.
Cause 2: insufficient or unsuitable lubricant. Countermeasures: Supplement lubricant and select appropriate lubricant.
Cause 3: abnormal load, countermeasures: modify the fit, study the bearing clearance, adjust the preload, and modify the shoulder position of the housing.
Cause 4: poor installation. Countermeasures: improve the machining accuracy, installation accuracy and installation method of shaft and shell.
Cause 5: creep of the mating surface and excessive friction of the sealing device. Countermeasures: replace the bearing, study the mating, modify the shaft and shell, and change the sealing form.
5、 Excessive lubricant leakage and discoloration
Cause: too much lubricant, invasion of foreign matters, foreign matters caused by wear powder, etc. countermeasures: use lubricant appropriately, study the change and selection of lubricant, study the replacement of bearing, and clean the shell.
Methods for prolonging the life cycle of imported bearings:
1. Whether the imported bearing is installed correctly affects the accuracy, service life and performance.
Therefore, the design and assembly department should fully study the installation of bearings. It is hoped that the installation will be carried out according to the operating standards. Items of operating standards are usually as follows:
(1) Clean the bearing and its related parts;
(2) Check the size and finish machining of related parts;
(3) Installation;
(4) Inspection after installing the bearing;
(5) Supply lubricant.
2. Alignment
If the alignment is not carefully carried out after the bearing is installed, the alignment may cause the bearing to suffer additional load, friction and vibration. These may accelerate fatigue and reduce the service life of bearings, and may damage the service life of other machine parts. In addition, increased vibration and friction may greatly increase energy consumption and the risk of premature failure.
3. Basic condition monitoring
During use, the basic external conditions of bearing operation should be monitored frequently, such as temperature, vibration and noise measurement. These regular inspections will identify potential problems as soon as possible, prevent unexpected machine stoppage, realize the production plan and improve the productivity and efficiency of the plant.
4. Re lubrication
During operation, the imported bearings are required to have correct re lubrication. The methods of bearing lubrication are divided into grease lubrication and oil lubrication. In order to make the bearing function well, first of all, choose the lubrication method suitable for the use conditions and purposes. If only lubrication is considered, the lubricity of oil lubrication is dominant. However, grease lubrication has the advantage of simplifying the structure around the bearing.
5. Remove
When the imported bearing will reach its final service life, it should be replaced. Although the bearing can no longer be used, correctly removing the original bearing and replacing the new bearing in time can play a good role in prolonging the service life of the new bearing. First, the proper unloading method and the use of tools will help prevent damage to other machine components. Second, incorrect unloading technology may cause harm to the operator.
